Gas Turbine Control System Installation

SAECO executed the design, supply, and installation of a comprehensive gas turbine control system for Units 12–27 at Jeddah Power Plant 3, ensuring seamless integration with existing plant infrastructure while maintaining operational continuity. Extensive performance testing and engineering validation were conducted to confirm system compatibility, reliability, and compliance with operational requirements.

Performance tests were carried out before shutdown, and reports with recommendations were shared with the customer. Detailed on-site engineering ensured the new system worked with existing units, and a plan to work on two units in parallel enabled completion before the contract end date. The project was executed successfully, with all units returned to service without issues. System upgrades achieved performance improvements, enhanced operational efficiency, and long-term reliability.
